Hello, I'm Amie Sell

a sculptor who works in ceramic & mixed media

I became a sculptor by spending years creating tedious temporary artworks out of whatever was around: candy, seaweed, string, clock hands, flower petals, fireflies and canned food. While becoming a sculptor, I worked as a materials librarian and studio administrator in the commercial Architecture/Design world. This gave me first-hand experience working on teams that successfully realized large-scale projects and how to craft & design meaningfully sculptures.

The last few years I’ve been working in ceramics, making playful sculptures that express my love of the earth, flora, & fauna, that speaks to the interconnectedness of nature. I also design and make beautiful, functional neti pots under B. Swell Ceramics, a company focused on hand crafted vessels for wellness.
